About NWS

Nangloi Water Services (NWS) works on behalf of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and under its direct supervision. NWS is in charge of upgrading the water treatment and supply of the area under the command of Nangloi water treatment plant in West Delhi.

In order to revamp the potable water supply and extend piped water supply in the command area of Nangloi WTP and the nearby areas spread over six Assembly constituencies of south west Delhi, Delhi Jal Board came up with the idea of a PPP project to involve private partners for the same.

Nangloi Water Services was therefore created by Veolia for this purpose. The project was awarded to NWS in the year 2012 with the contract period of 15 years starting from Sep-2013.

Nangloi Water Services (NWS) operates on behalf of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) under public private partnership model. NWS is responsible for upgrading the water treatment and distribution infrastructure within the command area of the Nangloi Water Treatment Plant in West Delhi which includes the Assembly constituencies of Mundka, Nangloi, Vikaspuri, Najafgarh, Uttam Nagar, and Matiala.

The ultimate goals of the project are:

  • Enhance Service Standards and attain 24×7 water supply
  • Reduction in Non – Revenue Water (NRW)
  • Consumer meter reading, billing and collection of water revenue
  • Installation of new house service connections
  • Operation & maintenance of all assets and network in the command area
  • Energy Conservation
  • Improved water quality
  • Better collection efficiency of revenue
  • Extension of water supply in un-served areas
  • Customer services and grievances redressal
